This collection consists of materials concerning the career of George H. W. Bush, particularly his tenures as vice president and president. The collection contains the accumulated research files that "Washington Post" reporter David Hoffman compiled to support his coverage of the White House. Materials concerning the elections of 1980, 1984, and 1988 are included; the 1992 election, however, is not covered.
