This video cassette contains footage of President George Bush's speech at Sumter Memorial Stadium, South Carolina. President George Bush enters the stadium and is greeted by roaring crowds. The camera runs during speeches by guests. The President is introduced. He thanks the guests and recognizes General Norman Schwartzkopf, Commander of Allied Forces in the Middle East. President George Bush identifies each unit of Armed Forces that contributed to Operation Desert Storm. President George Bush states, "Give proper respect to the Vietnam veterans; their time has come." Regarding U.S. military forces and the world, President George Bush states, "No one doubts us any more." President George Bush comments on the families and friends the troops left here to pray and make yellow ribbons while waiting to give the troops a warm welcome home. He thanks them for allowing him to be at their homecoming. The President works the crowd, kissing babies, passing out items, signing flags, and posing for pictures with troops.
