Records of the White House Office of Press Secretary (George H. W. Bush Administration)

This series contains correspondence primarily with friends, members of the media, private citizens, and private organizations and institutions. It documents Marlin Fitzwater's professional duties as a bridge between the President and the news media. This series consists of correspondence, notes, cards, clippings, and photocopies of photographs and invitations.

This series was maintained separately in the Press Secretary's office, but contains essentially the same kinds of material as two other series, "Marlin Fitzwater's Alphabetical and Chronological Correspondence Files, 1989-1993" and "Marlin Fitzwater's Chronological Correspondence Files, 1992-1993."
