Records of the White House Office of Press Secretary (George H. W. Bush Administration)

This series consists of two subseries: the Trip Files and the Trip Schedules. The Trip Files consist of materials dealing with President George H. W. Bush's trips both inside and outside the United States. Although not an exhaustive listing, the series does document many of the major foreign sojourns of the chief executive and provides an account of most of the appearances he made in the final months of the 1992 campaign. Included in the records are background briefings, press releases, pool reports, schedules, manifests, transcripts of interviews and press conferences, speeches, travel vouchers, and trip compilations with fact sheets and other relevant data.

The Trip Schedules contain trip itineraries for President Bush. A selective recounting of the years 1989-1990, these records have schedules for a number of the overseas trips covered in the Trip Files. Included in the records are brief notices to the press that usually describe changes in the travel arrangements of the president.
