College Station, TX

On July 4, 2026, our nation will celebrate 250 years of Independence. This pivotal moment offers an opportunity to reflect on our country’s past, cultivate a renewed appreciation for American history, and explore the beauty of our nation.

To commemorate this historic anniversary, the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum is pleased to announce the opening of a landmark exhibit. "Opening the Vault at the Presidential Libraries" will feature original, history-making documents straight from the vaults of the National Archives & Records Administration and rarely seen outside of Washington, D.C. Visitors will have a chance to experience some of the most iconic records in our national story up close, including the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, the Deed of Gift for the Statue of Liberty, and the Record of Induction for Elvis Presley, among many others!

"Opening the Vault" will be on exhibit in the Ansary Gallery of American History for a very short time: March 9 - April 12, 2026.
