The materials in FOIA 2007-0674-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials. FOIA 2007-0674-F records consist of Staff and Office Files from the Bush Vice Presidential Records. These files include reports, memoranda, correspondence, talking points, legislation, news clippings, notes, and schedules relating to the science acid rain, Reagan administration actions on acid rain, legislative proposals on acid rain, and relations with Canada regarding acid rain issues. These materials consist of reports from executive branch departments and agencies, and outside researchers on the science of acid rain; reports from White House officials, industry sources, and outside researchers on the effects of legislative proposals on acid rain; memoranda between the Vice President's staff, White House officials and executive officials discussing acid rain, administration actions dealing with acid rain, lake liming, and relations with Canada on acid rain; and correspondence from members of Congress, industry sources, and the public regarding acid rain and the administration's handling of the subject. Also included are talking points on acid rain for press conferences; legislation dealing with acid rain; news clippings discussing acid rain; notes on meetings about acid rain and the Reagan administration's response, including notes on meetings of the Task Force on Regulatory Relief; and travel schedules for Bush's trip to Canada. The bulk of the records are from the C. Boyden Gray Files and the John Schmitz Files from the Counsellor's Office. Read less
