FOIA 2024-0761-F contains materials from U.S. Government agencies and organizations pertaining to the scientific study of and potential government responses to climate change/ global warming.
The Staff and Office Files contain memoranda, correspondence, speeches/ remarks, reports, and papers related Anthropogenic Climate Change and Bush Administration policy responses to said issue. The great majority of the records were generated by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and various United Nations bodies. The materials track and evaluate global temperature and carbon dioxide levels, as well as proposed mitigation measures to be undertaken by international government and private interest groups. Examples include “Report of the Second Session of IPCC Working Group III/ Response Strategies Working Group (RSWG)” and “Public Education and Information Measures” from the IPCC. Also included are reports and correspondence from private interest groups and concerned citizens regarding the issue.
