The materials in FOIA 2004-0735-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials. 2004-0735-F 2 FOIA 2004-0735-F contains materials that deal primarily with two trips taken by President Bush, each including a stop in Brazil. There are schedules, cables, letters, and memos relating to these trips. President Bush visited Colombia, Brazil and the Dominican Republic in 1981 and in 1985 visited Brazil as part of a larger trip to Africa, Europe, and South America. The larger trip also included the funeral of Konstantin Chernenko, where the Vice President met with various world leaders. There are copies of remarks given throughout the trip as well as press releases which include schedules and speeches. There are newspaper articles from English, Spanish, and Portuguese language newspapers relating to the visits. There are also documents relating to the UN Conference on Hunger in Africa. Many of these documents do not relate directly to Brazil, but were processed as part of a large file that contained trip information, including the stops in Brazil. Read less
