The materials in FOIA 2022-0797-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials. FOIA 2022-0797-F contains materials from various offices and staff members within the Executive Office 2022-0797-F 2 of the President related to President Bush's designation of the 1990s as "The Decade of the Brain" in conjunction with the National Institute of Mental Health's efforts to "enhance public awareness of the benefits to be derived from brain research." The Staff and Office Files contain memoranda and correspondence from government officials, public interest groups, and private citizens endorsing the effort, several copies of the official presidential proclamation, and schedules and public remarks pertaining to First Lady Barbara Bush's address before the Decade of the Brain Symposium in July 1990.
