FOIA 2011-2270-F contains materials related to President and Mrs. Bush's meetings with Korean 2011-2270-F 2 President and Mrs. Roh, the Korean War Memorial and veterans, trade issues, and Vice President and Mrs. Quayle's meetings with President and Mrs. Roh. President and Mrs. Bush traveled to the Far East, including Korea, to meet with Korean President and Mrs. Roh as well as other Korean officials. A reciprocal visit to Washington, DC was made by President and Mrs. Roh. The main topic of discussion was trade between the United States and Korea - specifically imports and exports. Another aspect of this FOIA addresses the Korean War. President Bush recognized the veterans at a gala, appointed two individuals to the Korean War Veterans Memorial Advisory Board, and unveiled the winning design for the statue to be erected in their honor. Additionally, President Bush conducted the groundbreaking for the memorial. As Vice President, Bush and Mrs. Bush traveled to the Far East, including Korea, to discuss technology issues.
