The materials in FOIA 2012-1099-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents related to U.S.-China Business Relations and Most Favored Nation (MFN) Status for China. FOIA 2012-1099-F contains correspondence, press releases, printed material, schedules, and speeches related to Vice President Bush's travel to China and meetings with Chinese government leaders and U.S. business leaders associated with China. Internal White House correspondence routes other documents and organizes the administrative details of vice presidential travel, meetings, and scheduling. Correspondence with foreign government officials includes social exchanges (such as thank you, congratulatory, and birthday messages) as well as invitations and thank you messages from private citizens and business leaders. Also included are press releases on U.S.-China relations, U.S. policy toward China, and VP Bush visits to China; printed material from domestic and international newspapers regarding Vice President Bush's visits to China, U.S.-Chinese diplomatic relations, and U.S. non-government educational programs in China; schedules of VP and Mrs. Bush's travels in China; and toasts, arrival and departure statements, and press conferences by Vice President Bush.
