The Staff and Office Files contain articles, correspondence, remarks, and schedules maintained by individual staff members and offices. The bulk of these records contain variations of schedules and planning materials for Mrs. Bush's trip to New Orleans for the 1988 Republican National Convention. There are copies of articles, including the ones written by Mrs. Bush for USA Today during the convention. Correspondence in these files include notes between staff members sorting out remarks and schedules. There are also notes and letters from Mrs. Bush after the convention to those that hosted her while she was in New Orleans. Among the remarks are those she gave at different appearances, such as breakfasts as well as her introduction by Dr. Louis Sullivan during the convention. Read less
