The materials in FOIA 2012-3228-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials. The Staff and Office Files relate to the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program, which was mandated by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. It consists of a memorandum of ASVI system usage statistics; a book excerpt of Legislative History regarding the Immigration Reform and Control Act and dealing with the SAVE program; and a U.S. General Accounting Office Report on "Immigration Reform: Alien Verification System Data Base Problems and Corrective Actions".
