FOIA 2010-2614-F contains materials pertaining to the negotiations for the Conventional Forces in Europe (CFE) Treaty between NATO and the Warsaw Pact. The CFE Treaty sought to limit the conventional military forces and armaments in Europe in order to prevent armed conflict and promote stability. The WHORM Subject File categories contain correspondence from the general public and Congress to the President voicing support for the negotiations and between President Bush and NATO/ foreign heads of state discussing CFE-related issues and goals. Also included are personnel files related to the appointment of ambassadors to serve as heads of the U.S. delegation to CFE negotiations.
