These Staff and Office Files contain records consist of incoming letters, memoranda, reports, and printed material. Letters include routine correspondence from organizations such as the Environment Defense Fund, the Utility Air Regulatory Group, National Environmental Development Association, and the American Paper Institute/National Forest Products Association supporting or opposing specific provisions of the CAAA. There are unsolicited recommendations for individuals being considered for different positions in the administration. Also included is correspondence between staff of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and congressional committees regarding routine information requests. Memoranda discussing the implementation and enforcement of the provisions of the CAAA are also included.
