FOIA 1998-0042-F contains material regarding former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Jim Wright, a Democrat from Texas. The FOIA Collection contains routine thank you letters to the speaker from Vice President Bush and later President Bush, as well routine courtesy letters 1998-0042-F 1 notifying the speaker of the President's intention to travel to Texas. Also included are photocopies of news articles relating to the resignation of Speaker Wright. Additional materials include copies of form letters accompanying reports forwarded to the speaker and the president of the Senate as required by statute. Materials in response to this FOIA request were primarily located in the White House Office of Records Management Subject File. Additional materials were identified in the files of Nicholas Calio from the White House Office of Legislative Affairs. The materials date from 1982 to 1992. Read less
