Hosted by President Bush, the summit was attended by official delegations from Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Mexico. Meetings were held at the McNay Art Museum, and the 1999-0472-F 1 President and Mrs. Bush hosted a state dinner at the Majestic Theatre on the night of February 26. The summit focused on ways in which to continue the "war on drugs" including domestic education programs as well as drug production eradication efforts within the Andean nations.
