FOIA 2008-0063-F contains tracking sheets, recommendation routing tickets, letters of correspondence, event invitation letter and correspondence, and a photocopy of an autographed photo by President and Mrs. Bush. The tracking sheets serve the purpose routing recommendation routing tickets and letters of correspondence to appropriate White House Office staff members primarily in the Office of Personnel. 2008-0063-F 1 Accompanying these tracking sheets and recommendation tickets are numerous recommendation letters from a variety of Congressmen, Senators, and Interest Groups on behalf of Sherwin T. S. Chan and request the Bush Administration's consideration for Mr. Chan's appointment to a variety of positions within the administration, such as Chairman of the Federal Maritime Commission and Commissioner of the United States Commission on Civil Rights. Photocopies of response letters of thanks from the Office of Personnel to those who sent letters in support of Mr. Chan accompany these records as well. In addition, there are letters of correspondence in relation to Mr. Chan inviting Vice President Bush to a variety of events.
