Records responsive to this request are related to the Skull and Bones Society at Yale University, of which George H. W. Bush and his father Prescott Bush were both members. 2009-0116-F 2 The WHORM Subject File categories contain articles and letters consisting of correspondence from President Bush to William F. Buckley, Jr. and Thomas W. Ludlow Ashley regarding an article Buckley wrote for National Review. The article responded to Pat Buchanan's characterization of Bush's foreign policy as "Skull and Bones foreign policy" during the 1992 campaign. The Staff and Office Files contain newspaper articles regarding Prescott and George H. W. Bush's connections to Skull and Bones, and administrative forms for a tea for Skull and Bones in 1989.
