[Presidential Daily Diary] 1/24/1991 The President met with and spoke to by telephone senior national security and defense advisors throughout the day regarding Operation Desert Storm. He also met with Republican Congressional leaders regarding the Persian Gulf War. During the day, the President spoke with Helmut Kohl, German Chancellor; Toshiki Kaifu, Japanese Prime Minister; and Henry Kissinger.
