A week into the Persian Gulf War, President Bush spent this Sunday at Camp David. He spoke by telephone with his Chief of Staff, as well as with his Director of Communications. In the afternoon, the President had a conference call with Prime Minister John Major of Great Britain and Brent Scowcroft. In the afternoon, the President and First Lady returned to the White House and hosted personal friends for dinner in the Residence.
